The objective of this ministry is to provide improved living conditions for as many families as possible in Guatemala. For the travelers from our parish, we wish to experience the beauty of serving others. We also join with the sisters of the convent in prayer, meals, and fun while in Guatemala. We provide hundreds of children with “Shoes that Grow.” We deliver food and supplies to those in need and to many who are sick. We pray with the less fortunate and they pray for us. Convent projects are always a part of our trip to improve the convent that we love. Anyone can be a part of this ministry! You can join the many generous parishioners and make a monetary donation to support projects, or you can join us when we travel to Guatemala each year. The most important part of the projects is interacting with and loving the children and families that we are fortunate enough to encounter. This ministry is intended to provide to others as mentioned, but the travelers/missionaries always seem to receive more than expected. The outpouring of gratitude and love from those we touch is overwhelming. Come along and witness the beauty of the people and the land of Guatemala.
