"The Sewing Angels" began over 20 years ago with a small group of ladies from our church family who came together and sewed 1 to 2 quilts a year and donated them to the church for the turkey dinner and to help sustain our ministry. We have made pillow cases, stuffed teddy bears for the young and old, pet pillows, burp cloths, and a baby quilt for the Shiloh Center. We have donated baskets for the Turkey Dinner Silent Auction filled with handmade items. For the 2024 Guatemala mission trip, we made 40 little girls new dresses. We are making "Pocket Prayer Quilts”; small little quilt crosses sewn on the fronts and pockets on the backs containing a prayer.

Our sewing meetings are an afternoon of caring, sharing, laughing, fellowship, and just the feeling of belonging. Even if you have had sewing skills for years, there is always room for change and growth. We learn new and tried and true tips every day from each other. If you are wanting to share your skills, are tired of sewing alone, or just want to spend an afternoon with friends, come and get more acquainted with some of your parish family.
