Solemnity of Sts. Peter & Paul

Readings:
Acts 12:1-11
Psalm 34
2 Tim 4:6-8, 17-18
Matt 16:13-19

Jesus chose Peter to shepherd His Church, not because he was perfect, but because he was willing to be transformed by grace. Peter was rescued from prison through God's power, while Paul, nearing the end of his earthly life, confidently entrusted himself to the Lord who had strengthened him through every trial. Together, these two great Apostles remind us that faithfulness to Christ often requires courage, perseverance, and complete trust in God's plan. Like Peter and Paul, we are called to boldly profess that Jesus is the Christ and to remain steadfast in following Him, confident that He will never abandon those who place their hope in Him.

Prayer:
"Lord Jesus, strengthen our faith, give us the courage to follow You faithfully, and keep us steadfast in Your love until the end." -Amen

"Jesus, We Trust in You!"
